Shri Vasantrao Naik Govt. Medical College, Yavatmal was started by Government of Maharashtra in 1989. It is situated in a cozy non-polluted hilly area of Vidarbha. It is well connected by Road to Nagpur, which is approximately 150 Kms. Nearest Railway Station in Dhamangaon, which is approx 40 Km Away. Recently an Air strip is started which brings the Yavatmal on Airline map.
